PRESS RELEASE - Ladies, Are You Lost? Options for Women in Unhealthy Relationships
LADIES, ARE YOU LOST?
Pagosa Springs, Colorado (March 2006) - What is this book about, why was it written, who is the author, and does it have a purpose?
The book is about women and how we can tend to lose our sense of "self" and personal identity when we’re involved in a relationship. It’s about the author’s personal struggle to arrive at a solid sense of self, working toward freedom and away from addictions.
Why was it written? It was written for women in unhealthy relationships who feel they have no options. The author was told by friends that there were stories in her life which might help guide and inspire. Along that line, other loving women have contributed their stories to encourage and help. "We are just average women reaching out a hand to let women in unhealthy relationships know that they are not alone."
Who is the author? . . . Helena Gunther and Victoria Rose, her alter ego–the writer within. This is her first nonfiction book, and she has written it to tell other women where she saw opportunities and what she did about them, how she faces her fears, and uses her audacity to move from the negative into the positive.
Does this book have a purpose? Yes, a very definite purpose. It provides a brief set of clues to help women get back on track and take control of their lives. If they are serious about change, want a better life, and follow the ten clues, she guarantees they won’t be disappointed. It’s not easy but it would lessen the value, if it was. As education is a key to improving one’s life, any profits from the sale of this book go into a special education fund for women working to change.
